KFD Tidbits ...

So the time has finally come for the Kung Fu Drafter to go mobile! This separate little blog will be where I send content I come up with while I am on the go with my phone.

Let's all see how it goes.

What Comes Around …

So I’ve always wondered something, and now I am going to put a little bow tie on it and let it loose on the internet. Follow along with me here:

  1. China makes everything
  2. China sends a whole bunch of stuff to America
  3. That stuff arrives in cargo containers
  4. We take the stuff out of the cargo containers
  5. …?
So … what happens to all the cargo containers? Surely they aren’t sent back to China empty. Where the hell do all those things go? I mean I guess some portion of them are filled with goods that leave America and go to Europe and Africa. Then from there they probably make their way by land back to China.

So, all I can figure out is:

  1. Cargo containers have basically the same global movement pattern as the Jet Stream and
  2. Some number of cargo containers either disappear in a giant clothes dryer to travel to the land of lost socks or
  3. They get folded up and put into other cargo containers

So … yeah …

Phrases I am Sick and Tired of …

But that’s how we’ve always done it.

First world problem.

That wasn’t my responsibility.

I’m lovin’ it.

It’s not a normal IPO.

But they won’t train me.

Well that just won’t work.

I don’t know, I just don’t like it.

All offenders, consider yourselves warned …

Flate …

So you can inflate something. And you can deflate something. But does anyone ever stop to wonder where it is all this “flate” comes from and goes?

It seems as if we have a rogue “flate” market operating behind the scenes and we have all unwittingly become part of the flate economy.

Of course if that were really the case some dingdong would just value it at $100b and IPO it at $38/share.

Taking Note of Galaxy S III Success …

Damn, Samsung is really tearing it up in the Android world with handsets that nobody really believed in but them. Regardless of all that damn snide mockery of the Samsung Note and its S Pen the design sold over 5 million units. Now, despite Apple’s legal maneuvers the S III is poised for success with more than 9 million pre-orders!

Ok so sure that isn’t as great as the billions of phones that Apple moves and Samsung is raking in the trillions of dollars in profit. But damn man, it’s still not so bad …

Man, Diablo III is super hard. I’ve been playing for 30 minutes and haven’t even defeated the login screen
